Causeway Women’s Aid

Causeway Women’s Aid Surestart Project provides support to women and their children up to 4 years of age who are living in the Surestart Areas and have experienced domestic abuse.   Key elements of the support service are:

▪ Parenting Guidance when domestic abuse has decreased their ability to parent positively
▪ Programmes to promote personal development and parenting skills in individual or group settings
▪ Money Management
▪ Housing and tenancy issues
▪ Court Support and Advocacy
▪ Crisis Intervention  
▪ Safety Planning
 
 
This project receives funding from The Coleraine Surestart Partnership to employ two support workers and a community based child worker.

Harpur’s Hill Early Years Project

HHEYP operate a number of services to the local community including childcare and early years services and a home visiting team.  

The childcare team provide:

Playgroup for children 3 years and upwards
Mon - Fri 9.15 to 12.15 

Baby Creche for children under 18 months
Mon and Tues 1.00 to 3.00 

Toddler Creche age 18 months – 3 years
Wed and Thurs 1.00 to 3.00

After Schools Club for P1 - P7 children
Mon – Fri 2.00 to 6.00

Coleraine Sure Start Partnership funds a Home Visiting Team which supports local families in their home environment, across the entire Sure Start area. This is a valuable resource, providing a friend and listening ear for families and also helping parents access groups and courses.  The Home Visitors assist with facilitating the following:

▪ Special Needs Group
▪ Parents and Toddlers Group
▪ Women’s Group

Focus on Family

Focus on Family Nurturing and Development Centre aims to enhance and develop opportunities for families and individuals of any race, culture, gender, age, religion or ability.  Through nurturing, education, childcare and community-relations programmes Focus on Family aim to improve quality of life and employability.  
 
Coleraine Sure Start Partnership fund a Family Key Worker, childcare workers in the creche and a specialist 2-year-old programme.
